Netflix Unveils 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' Toph Actress, Begins Season 2 Production
The second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender is formally underway. With the release of a teaser film, Netflix revealed the actress chosen for the much awaited role of earthbender Toph.
The adored cartoon comedy from Nickelodeon was given a two-season renewal in March after its February premiere on Netflix.

Similar to the animated version, the narrative centers on young Avatar Aang (Gordon Cormier) as he strives to master the elements of Fire, Earth, Water, and Air in order to bring peace to a world under fire from the Fire Nation. Ian Ousley portrays her brother Sokka, while Kiawentiio plays his companion Katara.

Netflix revealed that Miya Cech would portray Toph, an earthbender who joins the group, in season two. Though her face is hidden, her earthbending abilities are alluded to in the video that was released on Thursday.
Adam Sandler's You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah and one episode of the Emmy-winning Beef are among Cech's prior credits.
Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as General Iroh, Ken Leung as Commander Zhao, Elizabeth Yu as Princess Azula, and Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko are among the other actors that appear in The Last Airbender.
The Hollywood Reporter was informed by Cormier, Kiawentiio, Ousley, and Liu before to the show's debut that they were excited to meet their Toph.
"Every season of the animated series just gets better," Kiawentiio remarked. "I think it's really exciting to have Toph join our group as a new member."
